I’m a fanatic about productivity.  I think there are things that we can do to be more productive everyday. One such productivity is what I’ve been doing for the past year.  It has to do with meetings and the length of time of meetings.  I limit each and every meeting I have control over to 15 minutes.  This has helped me eliminate wasted time.

I find meetings a big waste. If there is anyway you can just stop them, do it. But we know we must all have meeting. Best way is to limit them as mush as possible. 15 minutes or standing during the whole meeting is the best way to accomplish this.

Here is what I told Inc earlier today about a simple productivity I’ve used for 2014 and will continue to use for 2015:

Keep meetings to 15 minutes, max.

My goal is to limit meetings to a maximum of 15 minutes. This is something I’ve sent out companywide: Meetings shouldn’t be longer than 15 minutes. We tried standing last year for the whole meeting and that worked well, but being even more productive during meetings couldn’t hurt!
